CSGO Sticky thread

I may be a bit late or just completely lost, but what happened to the casual local servers?

I only know of intoxicated and their servers are all of a sudden lank-empty?!

What do you mean? Do you pick servers to play on? The game places you in a casual game.

The Way of finding games changed. Select the find a game drop down, select casual and the operation you want to play then click go. I think you're using the browse servers function. That has been changed, no one uses it no more.

Most of the community servers are dead now.
When they updated the game people just stuck to normal casual for some reason.
I used to prefer casual on community servers as you faced a higher level of player.
I often played against bravado players or similar.
Now it's just scrubs with 0 game sense that rush for anything.

He's asking why.
Community servers were better for a long time.
I miss the aim servers.

Snaps :( I never knew this was the case, thanks for sharing though.

Guess I will just have to conform and check it out tonight :)

I miss the aim servers.

You still get the aim servers. I haven't used it in about a month or so. Those you browse the old way. Or just install the workshops there are some brilliant ones there.

I know all of this.
The point is that there used to be 3-4 good community casual servers and about 5 solid aim servers.
From 1v1 to team based aim servers, there was something for everyone.
They all but died in the last year.

I'll try get the IP for the aim server I normally use. It's random community created maps with 1v1 and then you respawn facing someone else. I know I played it about a month ago last time.

You're not listening; I know the aim servers are still around because I still play on the 1v1 often.
I am referring to team based aim servers like there used to be in the past.

It's not that I'm not listening...

You complain there is no aim servers "They all died last year"
Then you say they are there as you play the 1v1 often but there are no 5v5

Anyway... I'll just move along.

I MISS THE TEAM BASDE AIM SERVERS PITBULL!

I said it multiple times.
That doesn't take anything away from the fact that the original aim servers are gone.
There are 1 or 2 1v1 servers but not like before.
All the servers I played on before have died.

I'm not sure what the confusion is here.
I was replying to jay_bee_kay and you seemed to required clarification.

I never complained either; I was merely saying the servers have all but died.
Which is true considering they are few and far between now.

what voip solutions do you guys prefer? i have always used TeamSpeak, but my friends are currently using DolbyAxon, due to reasons... I was thinking either of using Mumble or Curse voice.

Most people use TeamSpeak 3

I suppose it depends on who you play with the majority of the time. Unless you want to install all those apps :D

Lol, thanks, we want to buy a server from teamspeak aswell, i was thinking, if we gonna spend money, might as well spend it wisely... i know you can buy a server from mumble and ventrilo , i shall need to do some forum reading about it i guess... im just so lazy today

Why buy a server? There are loads of servers which different public channels. Just jump onto one and use one of the public channels.

We are currently on a server which we have been using for ages. One of the guys asked the admin if we can have a channel for ourselves. He created a separate channel and locked it with a password for us. Doesn't cost us a cent :p

lucky! our small group of players were part of a bigger clan at that time... and they rented a server , and alas, we are no longer part of them, i was thinking of making a mumble server, as i have done that before, i can host a permanent server from home, but geez, such a hassle , thanks for the advice, i will see who i can mhoer to get a free server for us XD
