CSGO Sticky thread

Hey you lot. I last played CS about a year ago, and im gonna start playing again. I want to join a competitive clan whats the best way to go about it?

1. check the DGL site for the teams in the Open Division, some teams have a contact on that page or u can just add the leader to ur friends list and ask him. All DGL members has their steam ID in their profile so its easy. I recommend the older site cause all the team are there and its way more user friendly(http://www.dogamingleague.co.za/portal/csgo/). Navigae to the right side, scroll down if u have to, click on Winter Leg and choose from the four Open division tables u want.

2. Play Match Making, friends some people and network. Some people has a recruit(literally the word recruit) next to their in game name, so u can ask them. Contrary, you can also put ("Looking4Team" or something) next to ur steam name or entirely replace ur name.

I think that's about the best and easiest way to go about it.

Played my first competitive match last night. Was rather fun actually. I think I'm hooked.
 
Ok, so 4 competitive wins in, and still enjoying it. My first two matches were against Nova's, but now it seems to be against silvers.
 
Ok, so played a bit again this weekend. Horible. Solo queueing just doesn't seem to work for me. Always get placed in a good team, or in a team where no one wants to play, and there is always someone shouting something when you are clutching.

You can mute mics in game. Learn that command and have it ready in console lol
 
Last night our team got carried by a girl.....
 
Ok, so I got my rank Monday. I ranked Silver Elite Master. Last night I decided to play a comp again, but couldn't find a single match at all. I was looking for over half an hour. Anyone else having this issue?
 
yea servers was a bit borked last night

They everywhere hey,last night a dude was aim and wall hacking everyone called him out. He continued untill I went to spectate he probably saw that then suddenly he could not hit a truck at 5m.
 
Thought it was just me haha I tried to play my first comp match last night... waited 30 mins could not get a match... been playing mostly Arms Race and Deathmatch haha. Played 1.6 stukkend but only recently started playing GO
