CSGO Sticky thread

So all gambling sites are basically done for.

Yah well,

http://www.bloomberg.com/news/artic...oves-to-choke-off-7-4-billion-gambling-market

Facing a wave of criticism and legal action, video game maker Valve is walking away from the rapidly expanding gambling ecosystem that has evolved around its games, potentially destroying an industry that was expected to take $7.4 billion in bets this year.

...

Last month, a Connecticut man sued Valve in a potential class-action suit that drew heavily from Bloomberg’s investigation. A second suit quickly followed in Florida. The company must respond to the first complaint in the next several days.

In addition to legal action, the world of skins gambling drew new fire in the past few weeks with two separate, high-profile revelations. CS:GO Diamonds, a site where gamers use skins to bet on virtual dice rolls, admitted to tipping a sponsored player to make the site look more exciting to his half-million followers. Mohamad ‘m0E’ Assad, a player, broadcaster and online personality, admitted that he used the advance knowledge to win on the site.

I wonder where Valve will end up… stop selling keys? This will have a big impact on other gaming developers and publishers as well, they will need to engage in a new business model.

Why didn't anyone tell me I should make a custom crosshair?

I just played three games with my new crosshair and it makes a huge difference.

I did that in CSS and it helped a lot, actually completely forgot about it.

It seems it's going to be a weekly thing now with some huge streamer/YouTuber doing extremely shady things.

Valve has acted,

yea its the price of these skins that freak me out! lol

I still don't understand it, some of these skins cost more than very nice cars but whenever I watch a match ingame and someone has a Dragon Lore it looks great, can imagine how cool you feel if you play with one.

yea i agree with u.... but there is no ways in hell i would spend 90k on a Dlore, but if i spend R40 on a case key and it has well i will be through the roof

^, I don't even bother with those cases...stupid Steam told me to do some arb verfication thing to auction them off and I just left it.

I'm only level 7 (just started playing again) and the cases that came along are just sitting there.

90K Dragon Lore is nothing, someone unboxed and sold a Karambit Case Hardened for ~R1.5 million.
