CSGO Sticky thread

Hopefully I can play better than last night's matches. (We won all 3 I played but I played shyte)

All my games as of late is MGE/DMG I seem to be close to ranking back to MGE /dance

I was DMG, then I got stuck in three straight matches where deranking was the ethos set by my team mates. That got me deranked to MGE, winning or drawing so many times, until we won those 2 matches which ranked me back to DMG.

Solo queuing, road to nowhere. When I play with my mates where I am used to the gameplan and team collaboration I am PashaBiceps all the way. Except, that I never AWP... I do Scout a lot though.

I solo about 98% of the time, I know :D
 
Dammit I'm struggling on nova 1 how old are you guys, maybe I'm just too old and slow now (38).....

I was also struggling with lower ranked matches. Found a solution that works well: Stop caring about your rank. It's a rank. I just play for fun now. When I took the ranks seriously I started to hate the game.

Ranks are relevant and irrelevant. Many inexperienced players are carried to the top where they are driven to insanity. Lower ranked players do need the exposure to higher ranked players, assuming that rank translates to actual experience, or they will never improve at skills (aiming, reaction, etc.), strats (grenades, positioning, rotating, etc.), map knowledge and game sense. Competitive mode is built on tactical (situational) awareness, and how 1 or more players (the more players working together, the better the result) can use it to their best advantage.

A team which is unable to work together, needs to have individual players which can produce results situationally. Situations, the opposing team may or may not capitalise on.

So, yah, ranks are relevant when the team works together and irrelevant when yolo takes precedence.

I have played many matches where one opposing player(s) is godlike, but his/her team is unable to win the match, which has happened on my side many an occasion. Oh yeah, hacker chants galore. Players get carried, get over it.

I really dislike people complaining about hackers, report the player and move on, otherwise I will mute you. I need to listen.

Yes, I agree, ranks are relevant, but if ranks start to ruin the game for me, I know I've been taking it too seriously. When ever that happens i just lay off the comps for a bit and play on a surf server. On a Side note, I might use my Alternative account tonight. Haven't played with it in about 3 months.

The smurfs hang in Nova Master and below. I was stuck in the Elo hell known as Silver for a while. Then you'd get an easy game, then the next will be extremely difficult.
