CSGO Sticky thread

The server are belly up again:

South Africa - High Load

Everyone had a 100ms+ ping and it would go up to 400ms and stay that way for a while.

I only had one comp without erratic ping and loss tonight, also happened to lose that match. This is purely server related.
At least I had fun, just time consuming.

May have been a bad server.I had on game where 3 of us had high ping then it would drop of all at the same time.

I tried Windows new game mode, but didn't notice a difference in fps,was focused on ping, will have to check. Played Hitman with game mode and my game crashed.

I think it's certain ISPs. Most players have perfect pings but out of 10 players at least 3 will have insane pings and packet loss. I have been at my ISPs throat the whole weekend. Just sent them an e-mail again now.

^, also noticed that...weirdly, I'm getting betting pings with a WISP than with my ADSL provider. Been that way for a couple weeks now.

I'm still getting a consistent 5ms ping. Unfortunately it dropped to 7 last night, but that could be due to my download.

Was nearly unplayable I tell you

Unfair :( lol, I've got 4up/4down with a WISP in helderberg area.
My average ping is 7-18ms, with 2 players on the same network.

Got into a lobby once with a telkom-DSL player who argued that:
"90ms is good enough! you guys are just spoiled..."

Haha. Yea people play at 100 quite happily.

At home I game on LTE which is about as stable as our economy, it's a cr@pshoot.

Yea we need 2 more.

And get Battlegrounds dammit. Just get it. Do it. You won't regret it I promise.

Buy it.

From my perspective, I will wait a bit. It is an early access battle royale and I have hit too many stumble blocks with other similar games on the market. They usually start out good, then die out quickly, and have too many issues in early access. I see Dr. Disrespect is already playing it,

^, fook off already, spammer. You're worse than opening Steam and getting blasted by ads

:p

Have to keep repeating it until it finally sinks in...

Having played it some, I( can honestly say I don't really care what a Youtuber has to say about it. I enjoy it, it's loads of fun and a great co-op game, nicely different to CS:GO.

Yes, it needs optimisation etc, but it is just pure fun.

Dr Disrespect is a Twitcher. So far it looks like an H1Z1 rebadge.
