CSGO Sticky thread

My guy took his silencer off. Donno how I managed that

Different gun lol. That's maybe the regular M4 you were using, the one with 40 rounds? I just discovered that after opening CS:GO you can click on the 'Inventory' tab and then right-click on the gun you want (if it's not selected) and click 'Replace' (it'll tell you which item in your default inventory it is replacing). I selected the M4S and then it was there under the Rifles wheel in-game.

That's good Tribble :) Just remember to keep moving if you're under fire. This ain't the wild west where you've gotta stand your ground. I'm trying to fire shorter bursts these days and drag my spray upwards in the hope of getting a headshot, and that seems to be working. Any top tips you can share? The pro guys on here have forgotten what it's like for us noobs lol.

Oh, and the M4S (or whatever it's called - the one with 20 bullets and a silencer) was great! Really accurate.

Shorter bursts is good. All the guns kinda spray upward though so you're better off starting at head height and moving downward...if you fire a short burst of 3-5 shots, try to end up chest-high down the model at the end of your burst.

That's a very rough guide...the guns each have their own patterns but the basic premise is that recoil kicks the barrel upward so the later bullets in the burst need to be compensated by aiming downward.

Right-click does special things :)

It's to scope with the sniper rifles and also does the silencer removal trick you just taught yourself. Kind of awkward starting to unscrew the silencer in a fight, isn't it? :p

Aah no you're gonna make it harder for me by getting me to try to reverse. My eye can fix on the main body mass so I aim for the chest and then start firing and raise the barrel a bit as I go. It at least gives me a good reference point. Aiming for somebody's head would be too small a target, especially at a distance.

Really??? You can unscrew the silencer on the M4S? For what benefit?

oooh yes. Rather. They were a bit surprised too

People who make CS:GO promises and then don't keep them need some form of punishment ... like full team vs them for three rounds :P I was there, Tribble was there, Soul Assassin was there, Wolf was there, even ponder was there. No Urban Bunny to be seen.

bunny's already been penalised...I mean he's bunny :p

I played a bit as well...I am 1^pRo^4DiGy in game (long story short, that was the name I used in CoDMW2 when the special characters made the name multi-colored, does nought in CSGO but never bothered to change it).

With the shotgun I sort of aim for the hips. Seems to kill them very quickly as it recoils

here's what I find really sucks: it's so hard to identify your teammates. Why can't this game write the names a bit larger over players, or give them a different colour if they're your friends? I find myself running behind randoms and trying to see if I know them lol.

Run around with your crosshair at head-height all the time...it's the easiest way to practice. The game incentivises headshots a lot...they do the most damage of any hit. If you can get them, you'll be bossing each fight you take on.

@UrBaN963

Ai Bunny, you have done so much today to setup us an lekker VOIP channel, only to go visit you landlord again :( Prod and I had to win another one, solo...

Someone I played with got a permanent ban...and I lost one of my hard-earned comp wins (on 29 now) :(

How do I take on all the guys with the sniper rifles though? They're easy to kill when you surprise them if you run around a corner into them, or from behind while they're focused down a scope, but I find it's super challenging with the good players: they'll pick you off from the opposite end of the map when you can't even see them, far less hope to land any hits with an assault rifle.
