CSGO Sticky thread

Why were you spectating rather than joining in, huh? You were invited too, and all you were doing at that point was spectating some other poor hopeless saps :P

Was actually fun jamming with you guys again last night.

We should do it more often. Foxhound, you just need to learn the maps. That comes with playing them. You will learn to know where the people go, where they camp and so on. You aint bad at all for a new player. Map knowledge I think is the biggest issue currently. Once you get that down the rest will follow.

Since when was "fair" a factor on CS:GO? Are you worried about us being matched with tougher opponents if you join, or just feeling sorry for the opponents and how you'd actually help us win? :P

We would've probably been matched with the same people or lower because both of us are unranked.

Thanks bro. I've been playing a fair amount of death matches, and Bunny has been really nice about sharing his knowledge. I definitely hope we can all do more comps - especially with Tribble if she just times her dinner appropriately lol.

Then I'm definitely in :D

Anyway, I have two accounts, the one I played on last night the rank doesn't phase me so no issue helping people to learn the game. More than welcome to add and invite.

I second the map awareness thing.

Fox maybe you can watch some pro players or YouTube videos of people playing Dust II.

Also at one point one of them had flanked all the way around you, you had full Kevlar and helmet and he shot you down to 24HP from behind and you didn't react at all.

Talk is cheap Soul Assassin. If you want to join us, it'll be far easier to learn from you. Otherwise I'm all good being a noob for now, thanks.

I really wish they would add non competitive 5v5.

I really don't like casual, 10v10 is a mess, if you're doing Deathmatch, Arms Race or even Demolition I'll join.

Cool I'll invite you when we do one of those. Demolition is essentially non-competitive comp.

Lies, you just want to run around on a small section of a map.

Come play where the big dogs play :p :D

No why the sweet peanuts would we do a non-competitive comp when you could just do comp? Oh right, y'all are worried about your rank with the noobs. It's ok, just tell me straight guys, I'll go solo queue the hell out of it and hopefully end up with some decent randoms :)

Already told you, My smurf account I don't care. I'm always game :)

I don't care about my rank, I care about players losing their interest in the game. Queue with an DMG, and you are likely to play against a DMG, and a good DMG will relegate you into playing clicker games.

However, we had a match last night where we had a silver and a Nova taking the heat and learning. It is sometimes a good experience.

Look, there is a reason why there are actual derankers in comp. Grievers and trolls are worse than hackers.

Well the game I played with Bunny and the crew last night, I was definitely the weakest person in the whole game, and I still enjoyed myself. It actually didn't hurt that they were stronger and we got a strong enemy, coz we all ended up dying very quickly: normally I was killed only about 20 seconds before the rest of our team lol.

So from my perspective, I'd like to keep getting comp experience and not waste my time in Demo. That's like eating chocolate cake without the cream, we need the good stuff!

It's more about the matchmaking experience, as wolf said. At your rank, being matched against people of Wolf's rank just isn't fun. You don't really learn anything, you're just dead. Not a criticism, just a statement. That's why we rather play against people in a similar skill group, so you can also win, learn and develop skills and confidence.

Also, most people do warm up with casual or deathmatch before playing comps.

I had a blast last might as well, hostage maps on casual...
