That is why I don't like playing with my legitimate profile. It will make the game a tad bit unfair towards new players. I have played for close to 300 hours now, and still can't beat MG's. Don't want to imagine how new players feel when they get one tapped all over the show.

Not so many one taps with the other noobs, which is handy :)

This ^^

We know that a lot of new players are playing and we help where we can. Fox pulls off some amazing shots at times even leaving me baffled. But that is how we learn. I have zero issues losing 100 games in a row as long as someone is learning and having fun :)

^5 You know something, for anybody who doesn't feel brave enough to comp just yet but wants to gain some of the same experience, you can always spectate a game (either by other noobs or more experienced players). You at least get a sense of how the team splits up tasks and what works (e.g. where to hide on the map) and what just doesn't. I really need to start doing more of that myself, I'm just to eager to jump into the matches myself :D I think once I'm ranked I'll start being more strategic about it.
 
How do I invite someone to my friends list based on their user name, I only see it asks for an invite code?

You can go to the Community tab and there's a menu option there that gets you to a search box where you can enter a person's nick and it will return matching results. From there you can click on a result and add that person as a friend, and they'll then need to confirm before they appear on your list.

This. Also, if it is someone you recently played a game with, it will show up in your "recently played with" list in steam.

Yes...it was quite a shock to learn I was older than Old MacDonald with his dog farm.

So I am probably the oldest playing comp...ponds, get your A into G so these okes have someone else to make Viagra jokes about.

Ponder can play with us, I don't criticise new players to comp unless you have a running mouth.
