CSGO Sticky thread

Here's a funny story for your guys' amusement.

So you may know that Telkom has a very bad reputation for not cancelling services timeously (which I've experienced before).

As soon as I decided I'd be moving out of my current apartment, I therefore prioritised giving them the cancellation notice with 1.5 months advance notice (they need one month - and will often just lose your cancellation request along the way).

I submitted that notice yesterday. Today my internet died. I phoned Telkom and they confirmed ... cancellation processed.

FML. Now I've gotta rely on my 10GB LTE dongle, no CS:GO for me for the next month and a half.

Be strong guys, be strong. No tears.

Just buy another 10GB and play on LTE.

What is this, 2003?

How data intensive is CS:GO? Anybody here actually monitored their sessions? I figure it's not streaming textures, just geometry, it might not even be a problem?

The issue will be all those frequent Hydra updates now.

I'm not sure about data usage but it isn't heavy. And I play daily on LTE and it's perfect. Only time it's an issue is when my roomies start streaming Masterchef

Tears? We're throwing a party...rumspringa style.

/what's wrong with LTE?

Oh, you, you, you... :D One day when I am a billionaire I will buy all CS:GO servers and ensure that you can only connect to the one in Southern Kazakhstan.

The problem with LTE is that there wouldn't be much marital bliss at home if I shut down our backup internet connection by exhausting the data cap on CS:GO.

Now now Fulcrum, I appreciate you posting a selfie, but generally it's not required online and can lead to safety concerns. Just a friendly caution.

Somehow I found the 1070's sweet spot for my PSU until the new one arrives tomorrow or the next day, it's rock solid at 1759MHz while gaming.

GPU core -195MHz and Power Limit -30%.

So I'm currently MGE. Working my way up through solo queue. Any idea why I keep getting matched with LE and LEM people? It's very frustrating

I ranked to MGE 2 days ago, and I've played 4 games since then. This was happening when I was MG2 as well

And now you're being tested to see if you can handle yourself at the new rank or if you need to go back, no one really exactly knows how the Elo works but being ranked against higher players is usually a good thing, if you can consistently beat them with good KDR, MVP's etc you're ranking up again.

Pretty frustrating considering they wreck me

They are the easy bunch, I’m up now 8 matches in a row and LE seems so distant. Since ranking back to DMG I’m 13:4 I think… Don’t remember. Anyway, I’m taking a break. Besides Diablo 3 2.60 is around the corner, and you can get more wings by playing that ****ty HoTS game. I still want my LEM back, perhaps later this year.

I want to rank up to MG1, but after my last game I'm scared as fsck. Really scared of deranked.
