CSGO Sticky thread

I thought you were taking a break?
Taking a break means I'll be creating a new alt to mess around with, but I still have one that is unused (just can't remember the password). Last time I checked it was on 3 wins. First game will be against silver 2's about (yes, I created it when I was still a silver, and dropped lots of games).

Explain all this alt logic to me please? You’re still playing the game and you’re not going to play any better or worse on an alt...

So I think I've been having a bad run, and non prime is messing with my head. Getting put up against cheaters isn't fun. So to boost my morale I need a good game again, where I top frag. Only way to do this is on my Silver Smurf, or to create a new account.

Once I have a new account however I'll play against LEM this time, which is a huge step up. I couldn't win, but getting use to the better players. I don't want to play Billosoft at the moment as I'm really not good enough for Billosoft (seriously, I can try all I want to, but I'm not on that level yet). The last unranked alt I have has lots of potential to rank higher than MGE even, and so do I, but I'll have to step up my game a lot.

But to make an account prime is easy - get to L21

It really seems like a lot of work running more than one account - and in the end, which is the real version of your abilities?

At the higher end of the scale (ranks) your own abilities doesn't shine, your ability to play in a team is what matters. Sometimes it isn't about skill, sometimes you need to play the information game to allow your team to win.

Good example would be to know how to play with other players you are placed with. You need to understand what your team mates play style is like. My play style changes a lot. On Dust 2 I push B as a CT, o don't like the T's pushing me. On A I'll not push, but I'll still allow them to get the East pick. If they get the pick I get info, and they think it's a clean run towards site. Most of the time the enemies won't check pit if they get the long pick. I'm guilty of doing that myself.

But this makes no sense. Every account has the same ability to rank up, it has nothing to do with the account, only with your abilities (and team mates). Look I'm still a noob but wouldn't it be better to find teammates and have a regular team you can learn to play with, get the teamwork in etc and improve that way?

I agree, a regular team to play with is a better idea, very good, but at the end of the day if you are unranked the system tries to pair you with random skill groups, this way you are more likely to be put up against better players.

I still think Billosoft and ESEA is the answer as this will put me up against Globals and Supremes. Yes, I'll not play well, and they will not like playing with me, but I want to improve as a player in the long run, and offer more to a team.

I'm not team material, I play way too randomly. One game I'll top frag and carry, next game I'll struggle to even hit an enemy with a USP-S

What you say about the team makes sense. But then with your alt you will have to play differently from the start not to end up at the same place as your current - without having learnt new skills. What Bunny says about getting a regular team to play with makes a lot of sense too - that way you develop styles that compliment each other and get to know how each one will react in different situations. The worst for me is not knowing what my team is doing and what they expect me to do. But then I don't know what I am supposed to do lol

Sounds like you need to work on your team playing abilities then. CS GO is a team game, so improving those skills would be more important than top fragging. Frags aren't the be all and end all. Securing info for the team, getting the defuse, clutching, these are far more important than frag amounts as it pushes the team objective, not the solo score.

From what I hear, you don't get XP on Billosoft? So it doesn't help your rank?

It's always the same - defuse the hostages as quickly as you can.

Defuse the hostages? They a bit hot headed? :D

Yes - I would rather they not plant the bomb in the first place actually. They get money for that. And they should preferably all die.

Yea that's always first prize if you can, far easier than trying to retake the site after it's planted.

Billosoft is a way different ball game. For the most part Billosoft is all about showcasing pure skill and doing Pickup games. All servers run 128tick, and it's mostly very high ranked players on there. For me personally I like it, but it's very difficult to play.

More aimed at Genisys, then its this then its that, then he is on then he is off cannot keep track.

Think he must change his signature to what ALT account he is using this week and whats wrong, guy can write a manual :D
