CSGO Sticky thread

No way, its on point, the lag is to blame.

How do you tell the difference? Is there a LAN option? Or private servers for the general community? Anyway we can play without a couple hundred millsecond latency?

PUBG still has a very low tick rate, I think their aim is to hit 60 on servers when the game is launched. CSGO is 64, but private servers can go beyond 128, the Chinese servers are 128, but the operation is privately owned with which they have their own resources. BF is in line with CS, they have the same tick rate and there are 128 available.

Then you must compare PUBG to a game like Overwatch which also has a 60 tick rate, it is horrendous, and people do complain. The netcode still sucks and so does PUBG. Many streamers complain about PUBG’s hit reg and the complaints are in the abundance on Steam, reddit and elsewhere.

Like I always say, those that complain about CSGO’s hit reg. are either struggling to aim, unable to do weapon control (spray patterns) or needs to experience a 128 tick rate or more. There is a private, but publicly, accessible headshot server with 192 tick to have a go at.
I have at many times missed dead on headshots, I don’t go tantrum.

Now, I don’t think that PUBG needs more than 60 tick in the essence the game is designed, it is not as paced as CS and BF, and relies more on drop shots at distances and occasional close encounters. I do think that the competitive servers, once they are available, will need to be 64 or higher. The current tick, irrc, is 30.

I am both a CS and PUBG player.

BF server do not have high tickrate at all. 60 is good for a good BF comp server, most casual servers much lower.
Only csgo that I am aware of that have 128 tick rate servers

I am going to play less CS, it has started to mess with my concentration, less sleep, less work done. I used only to play on weekends, now it is day in and day out. See you guys on Sunday.

PUBG has a 17Hz tick rate, I can't see them hitting 60Hz with the official launch or anytime in the foreseeable future.

Old age...what can you do? :p

Can relate though - not able to sleep too soon after playing so can sometimes be up till 2-3 in the morning.

**** me...a tick rate lower than Minecraft, inconsistent frame rate and no local servers. Sounds like a winning recipe.

Think I'll get my chicken from Woolies rather.

Finally, it is time that you move more than you do in PUBG!
