CSGO Sticky thread

Yeah and spending R500 on a broken game is worth it...
Depends how you look at, the game is broken, but I return for more. As much as the quest system is borked and bugged as hell the exploration element of the game makes up for it.

I wouldn't want to spend R1000 for this game, and I paid R442. ZoHaN paid R380.

Why buy COD when everyone talks about it, but hardly everyone owns it on PC? So far I only know of a handful of people playing it. By next year June/July Blackout 2 will be the talk of town. In my opinion, Blackout should have been a separate COD game, but no. No, I'm not playing zombie mode, been there done that.

Anyhow, I'm playing Star Control now. My type of game. Next week is Tyranny, then Torment and after that PoE2. Will try to get to Mass Effect Andromeda which I haven't played yet. A couple of new adventure games out as well.

Well played BVD. 2nd place at their First proper tournament
Can't really do much more in the finals than they did, ENCE are just that next level.

Patients one one, soon you'll be able to play at the level the pros on here play, then Casual will become boring and comps will just be for fun

I am quite happy with casual, playing competitive isn't my thing nor the reason why I play it, but I don't think I will play any thing other then match up games again, simply can't believe the amount of hacking going on, on local servers.I almost stopped playing......

Don’t see competitive mode as a competitive mode, it is simple 5v5 matchmaking to balance out the skill level (at Valve’s best attempt). Competitive is nasty though, ignoring hackers, everyone has their skill ceiling and many tend to go on an alt account or deranking spree.

It is also a nice mode until you hit MGE where I would advise to play with 3 or more regulars to progress. All in all, it is casual matchmaking.

True competitive games are those by competitive teams or PUGs.

What's with the fake news, Donald? Haven't played with my alt in months.

Our mains are the same rank btw.

Fake news, really now, you did play with an alt. I only want to get rank with my alt and the new system isn't cool.

Played 2 matches yesterday.

First game: My team, all alts, was obviously very high-rank players. MGs playing like pros and putting a blatant aim hacker down on his arse.

Second game: Fairly ranked, well-balanced in accordance with the ranking system. I only noted one other alt on my side.

Then I received another skill recalibration, only 2 games at most per day. Silly. It used to be three without skill recalibration.

Btw, I created this account as a practice account, it is not meant to annihilate low-ranked players, but to be used elsewhere. I need rank.

Played a couple on my main yesterday. Must of been derank games as they were against mge etc. Easy games. But then last night played one game and it was against some LEM's... easy game. Killed it with the awp all game. Someone asked if a was KennyS and I got 2 friend requests.

Considering filling the void with Vawlfevev taking a Christmas break.

Here you are speaking to a guy with no sound :p Sound is for wussies......:D

I have to give it to Prod, the other day I spectated them playing a match on Train, but one player on the opposition caught my eye. It was a Ventus player and by the way, they played it is quite obvious that it was Ventus and perhaps other pro team members playing with their alts.

Losing 6-16 against them isn’t bad :p

Say what you want, but this game also has good percentage luck involved,
Had a quick round after lunch today, played cache, T's only ever had 2 guys push B, we had 6 push B, overwhelm them and then come up from behind A where we had 3 guys holding off an entire team :p

Was a slaughter then some guys start hanging back in T spawn with AWP's, some smoke, flash and it was all over. From what I have seen you always head to B armed to the teeth with the most guys you can spare.

However CT has a decidedly better advantage in the cache in my opinion.

Yea those maps aren’t the same with 10 players on a team. This is where I prefer comp - there’s more strategy involved.

The only luck in CS is when someone consistently gets headshots by run & gun. Strats trump luck. Spread and spray, to control, still requires skill to execute.

Dust2 and Cache are probably the most balanced maps. Lately, the meta did change which side has the more advantage in some maps.

All I do in casual is YOLO, run & gun.
