Yea those maps aren’t the same with 10 players on a team. This is where I prefer comp - there’s more strategy involved.

The only luck in CS is when someone consistently gets headshots by run & gun. Strats trump luck. Spread and spray, to control, still requires skill to execute.

Dust2 and Cache are probably the most balanced maps. Lately, the meta did change which side has the more advantage in some maps.

All I do in casual is YOLO, run & gun.

Here I am hating Dust 11... it was so over played when I started csgo and the new map style just doesn't do it for me anymore.

Strats include buying together as a team wolfie?

This has been brought up so many times by CSGO pundits. I believe Valve don’t want to segregate their player base. I know people who would stop playing matchmaking all together should they have the chance at custom lobbies or casual 5v5, isolating themselves. Valve would need to drastically amend the reward system to make competitive mode attractive.

To be honest, the state that CS is in now, most matches are ‘unranked’ in any case. It is either incredibly hard, too easy or balanced. Ignoring hackers which is any case rampant at the moment.

Those who do have an invested interest in unranked games will subscribe to PUG servers, where they do have the options, and double the tick rate, but it comes at a price. Alternatively, there are other public servers but is limited as you already know.

Our comms suck lately, no denying that. Even us, the regular 4, has become stale. Everyone is doing their own thing, it is only when we have to crunch when ideas coincide and some teamplay makes its way into the match.

I have been, and have always been a positional player. I either lurk, support and at times I will act as the secondary AWP pending on how woke I am. Now we swop and run like ducks-in-a-row. How I am still DMG is beyond me.

Lately, most games, the only role we assume is a headless chicken.

We are good as a unit. Not too sweaty and enjoy the games more often than not which makes it fun. I don't mind if we lose 3 games in a row, as long as I can have a laugh. If you want to get to LEM and higher we need to set practice times for map nades and strats.

No, CSGO isn’t a chore. I am not a pro gamer and am not planning to be one.

I lost my star - I think I said something about it. Met another "high" ranked player - he friended me and says he will get me out of silver

I have had Globals play with me and we lose. I have MG2s and up with LEMs play with me - and we lose. I am positive I must be jinxed or just very bad.

I first need to play a comp match, to be able to stop Ranks are about as useful as crabs.......
