CSGO Sticky thread

I see there is a push to bring in more than 5 players on a roster, hence introducing substitutes in CSGO. Valve rules don't allow this, but they do allow, pending on the competition, to rotate players going into competitions.

I won't mind seeing subs in CSGO, it will bring in a whole new dynamic and will also give the older players more competitive time, longevity, than being discarded as burnouts.

Times are changing and I'm pro with this.

Would be nice if they would do that in our comps - we could then kick cheaters and have a new player take his place rather than a bot.

I doubt that they will allow it in matchmaking, it is suppose to be rank based. Boosters will abuse it.

I know - but if someone searching of the same rank could join. But you are right. I just said it would be nice. Cheaters may lose a bit of that god complex

It can be done in a ranked private server, but I don’t see Valve allow lobby in and lobby out in an active matchmaking game. It will render their Trust Factor system useless.

I understand your need.

Interesting hey. I wonder why that happened. Must be a conincidence.

Ranked private servers? Would you mind sharing more info about it? I thought that it can't be done?

It can’t unless it is Valve approved and that requires the ‘third-party’ service to abide by Valve rules.

Many third-party (PUG) services like FaceIT and ESEA implemented their own anti-cheat system and ESEA pride themselves to have the best CSGO anti-cheat in place. Since Valve introduced VACnet as an addition to VAC (since it is severely lacking in detection), they don’t support ranked matches on premium services which implemented their own anti-cheat anymore, but there are some which do.

Then you get the rank boosting workarounds, yes, you can purchase your way onto these ranked servers,
