CSGO Sticky thread

Top 10 atleast. But the model O- wouldn't work for me anyway.

My hand measure at 20,5cm and I am happy with smaller mice after I changed my grip. To each his own, horses for courses. Talking of the Reddit community, I have nothing against Glorius shills, but don't say anything to them, you can't have a good opinion on any other mouse. Glorius is a good mouse, but the company invested a lot in how their brand is perceived.

Nowadays talking of your mouse is like having a dick measuring competition. Zy have said many times, get what is right for you and that is how it should be.

I definitely still want to try out the Model O-, and to be honest my G403 feels too big for me now after gaming with the MM710. Now, I want a G-Wolves Hati with the limited edition packaging.

The G403 is still one of the best mice I've used. I prefer the weight, just suits my aim style better.

CS:GO’s Exciting New Update Unexpectedly Threatens Match Integrity
For the first time in Counter-Strike history, Valve released equippable agents, allowing for visual character customization beyond CS:GO’s infamous weapon skins. The addition was a great accessory to the game.

At least in theory.

CS:GO players were excited about the update, but they’re finding that the new character models are disrupting the competitive flow of matches. Between the map textures and custom agents, enemies can very easily blend into the foreground.

So just how severe is it? Take a look at this screenshot from French CS:GO caster Sr’K playing on Overpass.

That is good camo, but I spotted it the moment my eyes dragged across the radar. Still, not good when entering. Glad to see the player skins banned in competitions.

Great to see someone taking the initiative to make VACnet an actual anti-cheat system,

A CS:GO player has built an AI tool and it’s caught 14,000 cheaters
If you’ve never heard of a thing called HestiaNet in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, then we don’t blame you. Run by a single pen tester from his main Steam account, the artificial intelligence system, which is named after the Greek Goddess for hearth and fire, has successfully reported over 14,000 players for cheating.

And while it’ll take the likes of you and me several minutes to sit through an Overwatch case and work out if ‘The Suspect’ is using CS:GO cheats or not, it only takes HestiaNet a couple of seconds, if that. And that’s because its owner, 2Eggs, who just last month was awarded $11,450 for helping Valve identify bugs and security risks on its platform, has spent hours plying HestiaNet with game demos dating back to 2015, helping her pull apart normal from suspicious behaviour.

Like other deep-learning platforms, HestiaNet gets more intelligent everyday. But while the likes of VACNet and FACEIT’s Minerva have been built by big teams, HestiaNet was built by one teenager in his bedroom in a far corner of the United Kingdom.

“What got me interested in this was the demo John McDonald [Senior Software Engineer at Valve] did back at GDC in 2018,” 2Eggs tells The Loadout. “After that I wanted to see if I could do something but I’d be the one marking harder decisions on whether someone was cheating or not. I only really finished it to a satisfactory point this year.

All VACNet is really doing is learning and reporting, then the actual review is done by the player base (those willing to participate in Overwatch). VAC only scans, and when it discovers a breach it will issue a ban. HestiaNet can greatly compliment VACNet.

Anti-Cheat like Easy Anti-Cheat does all this on its own. The abovementioned Minerva also does this on its own in addition to VAC and VACNet.

In my opinion, each Valve gaming node should host an 'HestiaNet'. I generally believe that Valve doesn't actually want to ban their users, otherwise, it will drastically drop their numbers in the Steam Community Marketplace. It is a big system powered by users dumping tradable goods in the marketplace to be bot handled, neither is it a secret as many participating communities in this have their very own Steam Group on Steam. Valve knows very well what is going on within their ecosystem, but will only act when the public or regulatory bodies lose their schit and then Valve will make legal loophole changes to the system to circumvent their issue.

Today I have hit 2,400hrs on my main account. Don't know how people have done 10,000hrs or even +5,000hrs over the years.

Currently sitting @ 4010hrs.

First ~2k hrs was my pc just constantly on and open to anyone at my house to just jam casual, no interest nor exposure to the world that is competitive play at this point.

Add another ~2-300 hours of forgotten in-game time, with the rest being actual competitive gameplay time.

Currently bouncing between mge/dmg and yes almost every second match I'll get someone checking my profile and taking me out for my K/D vs hrs of playtime :')...

@Cav5034 @Neoprod

- Get 15 MP5-SD kills in Guardian: Nuke
- Get 10 round wins in Competitive: Nuke
- Get 4 pistol round wins in Wingman: Nuke

I still need to do these three, completed the others last night. So, who will carry me through this?

What is up with these wingman missions...

Apart from the co-op mission in week 1, the other things are like chores :cautious:

Beel visits the forum too, you know.

You should get MW. It’s good fun

I burn my hands every time I get a CoD game. It just isn’t for me, the last time I liked it was when I played CoD: MW4. Besides… it seems I can only now play on UK servers (sub-150ms), and for some reason my games default to EU when in the Northern Hemisphere with pings high in the 300s.

Not cool.
