The anti-cheat in China is surreal

Basically, Valve removed the match abandonment penalty, but I am curious as to why it is only addressed now, maybe due to exploitation as it cannot be that common, surely?

A new CS needs to need released, GO is getting stale.

It won't happen any time soon, the market place for the game is proliferated, and Valve most recently dump more items into it. I don't want to know the value of the game to Valve.

For a stale game, it is pretty much the most played game on Steam.

I'm having an issue with CS...

Keep getting big frame drops in gun fights and it is messing up my aim, it's almost like a stutter except I can see the drop from 200+ down to 120. Used to playing at 180 on my monitor but for the life of me I can't figure it out...

Updated bios
Reinstalled csgo
Tried a bunch of resolutions
Disabled Core 0 under task manager (F knows why)

Problem has been present since December before I upgraded the GPU

Ryzen 2600 - OC to 4ghz on all cores
Rtx 3080
16gb 3000mhz

I have a similar issue.

You can try to run this in your launch options:

-tickrate 128 +fps_max 0 -novid -nojoy +fps_max 0 -high -fullscreen +mat_disable_fancy_blending 1 +cl_forcepreload 1 -limitvsconst -forcenovsync +r_dynamic 0 +exec autoexec.cfg

I also have mat_queue_mode "2" input in my autoexec, but do try the launch options. Valve has made various user inputs redundant so a lot I would presume is a placebo especially with mat_queue_mode whereby multi core systems are now supported as a standard.

In my case the other players, especially those with lower pings are lagging or so it seems, but I have the odd stutter in the game menu.

Also, there is a new Nvidia driver which supposedly resolved some issues and possible exploits.

Lol, the Steam mobile app I need the authenticator code from to log into Steam on PC, is asking me for an authenticator code before letting me in.

The ****, Gaben?

CSGO has hit 1 million players every day for two months straight

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive has had an amazing winter, racking up more than a million players each day without the help of the game's famous esports circuit.

CSGO’s professional scene has been under fire over the past six months. A promising year quickly headed south as tournaments moved out of packed stadiums and into players’ bedrooms for a return to online competition. But that hasn’t stopped CSGO from carrying Steam to its all-time high for concurrent players. CSGO has passed 1,000,000 players online at the same time every day for almost exactly two months.

November 11 saw CSGO break the million-player mark for the first time since dipping below a million concurrent players on June 2. It marks only the second time in the game's history it has managed it, the first happening on March 1, 2020. And although it took Valve's first-person shooter another five months to pass the million mark again, CSGO has now proven it can exist without riding on its esports scenes' coat tails.

I have to ask, how many accounts are 'idle' accounts? Valve boasted the other day that they had 25 million active, or concurrent, players but only to ignore that their ecosystem is basically a casino.

I like how the article says that CSGO don't need e-sports, uhm, no and yes. It needs e-sports to stay relevant, and we are in an active operation pass. Valve is dropping new and old items, and the marketplace couldn't be happier. This is ignoring that the player base has exploded since the title have gone F2P.

As long as GabeN and co. is milking the cow and the cow is splurting cash then those cries on better anti-cheats and Source 2 are but mere misguided echoes. The current outcry against the bots being removed is entertaining.
