CSGO Sticky thread

Adjusting my sensitivity higher is harder than I was thinking it would be
I currently play at 1080 eDPI. 400x2.7. Changed some time ago. The low DPI of CSGO influenced every other high paced game I played like CoD. It most certainty suits lighter mice from my own experience.

I went from 400x1.35 to 400x2.1, its a small adjustment, but takes a bit of time to adjust to, feels way too fast at the moment

Lol back after probably 8 months.Really hard to get back into it the first day, couldn't aim for shyte.Second day a little better and the 3rd day I felt like I was playing my normal game again.

You don't forget the game basics, little rusty some times, but that comes back quicker then aiming. Was 3 days of fun actually, no toxic players, suspect player here and there, but nothing out of the ordinary.

I think the biggest adjustment getting back was getting use to the recoil.Kept aiming low and hitting the body, often losing a fight as a result, headshots are better after the 3rd day........Ditched awp for now reactions too slow, so using my negev to annoy and destroy. My pistol skills have always been lack so going to work on that over the weekend using it as much as possible in the first few rounds before awp rounds start.

@Fulcrum29 Why haven't you reported Sennheiser selling their consumer division to some hearing aid company?

The **** are we not paying you for?

Jou EPOS.

Sonova Epos.

I don't believe anything will change on the consumer end. It is the entire division being acquired, people, IP, tech, and they will have a 'continues' cooperation with Sennheiser which I believe will be more related to marketing the product in any case. Sonovo is a world-leader in hearing aid technology, so who knows what noise-cancelation tech they may add.

The EPOS, or more precise the Demant Group, deal isn’t quite the same, it was a co-operative arrangement which has now come to a closure. Though EPOS is still selling Sennheiser gaming hardware, they aren’t licensed to produce anything new other than their own. The old gaming Sennheiser gaming catalogue will live on with EPOS.

I don’t know whether Sonovo will get into gaming hardware. I don’t see why they must… Sell a gaming DAC with the appropriate DSPs, and recommend it with a proper can.

I like what Beyers did with their cans, non-hardcore gaming conversion. Basically they added the DT 990/970 Pros to their gaming catalogue, and also added an all black-coated Black Edition. Then they have their entry MMX 300 which is a non-evasive gaming headset with mic, the CUSTOM game which is nice, and the TYGR which is on my wishlist. This is done proper, not to mention they also sell mouse pads now.

Just to point out - that's actually a big adjustment. You went up over 50% more in-game sense than before.

Give yourself a break if you're not hitting shots yet.

Hope so.

I watched a Linus tech thing on Youtube where they raised a solid point...Sennheiser stuff lasts a long, long time. I've got 3 pairs from 2005 onwards that are all still working and the HD200-whatevers were cheap for brand headphones. Sennheiser doesn't seem to do the planned obsolescence thing so they might have been struggling to sell as many headphones as they need to keep that big product line going. Also their brand is kinda old-fashioned - they're definitely not attracting the Beats generation.

What is the point of sublime engineering if the new class of audiophile generation is tone deaf? You give them DSP-corrected beats.

If you guys are playing with 400 dpi, how do you actually...use your mouse outside of CS GO? Do you switch back to a higher setting, or just throw your mouse across the room to get it to cross the screen so you can click around on your desktop?

I was actually playing at 0.45 in-game at 1800DPI for awhile :p

Now I swap to 400 for games and 1800 for Windows.

In OS I use 800 DPI with cursor speed set to 6/middle. Pending on my work, and whether I need to move cross monitor, I will manually switch between 800/1600/3200.

In-game I use 400 DPI, manually set, which I multiply, pending, on what mouse sensitivity does exactly. Not all games do eDPI the same.

Polling rate is always set to 1000Hz, no angle snapping.

I have two mice plugged in. My gaming mouse is always set to 400 DPI.

400 with 1.4 in game...

Out of game I break my wrist hitting the close button. Funny enough when I tried apex out people laughed at how low my sensitivity was. I laughed at their low kill count. Apex is a whole different game... slowly increasing my sensitivity but it's hard to adjust.

The last time I played Apex it was still exclusive to Origin, in a time I still had local gamer friends.
