CSGO Sticky thread

Funny to me that the hours played are retained.

Yes, the game and achievements are gone, and there is doubt about community servers. At this time 128 tick is also prevented as the game is now hard locked to 64 tick with the sub-tick mechanism. FACEIT, ESEA, all 64 tick now.

What remains intact is your credibility. Prime, hours, etc. Played a CSGO match more than a week ago, and you will also receive a special reward token.

I will possibly play tonight, I only checked out what was new last night.

The demo viewer is also updated, and it doesn't go by ticks anymore, but by game time and is viewed at a lower tick rate. Possibly 32 tick.

I am playing a bit worse than I normally do, will need to look at changing settings a bit especially mouse settings. IDK if it is tick related, will need to play around a bit to find out.

I am also playing around with my eDPI. I don't know whether it might have something to do with the FoV, but mouse movement speed does seem to be increased.

My DPI is currently 1600 and my mouse speed is set at 0.75. My eDPI is 1200, but I am thinking to go down to 800.

I also don't use custom inputs anymore since most commands are obsolete now, though I see that CS2 did save the old valid inputs. My crosshair and radar are still good.

Valve has also not responded as to why the cl_righthand 0 option is not available at launch. It might very well be the most requested command at this time.

Some thing else my aim is a little off as well, spray patterns a little different or more sensitive. ??? I use to be able to consistently beat ak's and m4's with the MP9, headshot accuracy was good enough that I could take on AWP's with it, now I get bodyshots most of the time and lose the encounter. Looks like I will need to do weapons training again and check spray patterns.... :(

NGL never gave a sht about CS because of the retarded bullet spray and crosshair disconnect.
That new floating crosshair thing that follows spray makes me very interested.

Urge to post screenshot rising.
Part of getting decent at CSGO was learning the spray patterns of those weapons so it became muscle memory to keep the bullets going where you wanted. Crosshair was only for the first shot thereafter ignored in the spray.

I was a Battlefield oke when playing online, so I grew up having circular a fixed crosshair with spray around it and camera-based vertical recoil.
The crosshair in CS never made sense to me.

Ah the good ole crosshair debate :P I have a small green static cross, ( copied simple's crosshair) It is small, and I found it best suited to me. :). Any larger is too distracting for me, the default sucks.......

So CS2 is nice, but it runs like **** on my side.

Where I got solid 60+ FPS, no stutters, on ULTRA in CSGO, I now have to set my game to LOW, and at some points my game crashes with the classic Windows "Not responding" error or the game stutters a shitton.

In conclusion, the hell is going on with CS2?

AMD or Nvidia?

Apparently players with AMD GPUs are experiencing stutters and is allegedly worse on the latest release.

Option A...

I haven't tested it yet, but the AMD drivers at this time seem to be a mess. Many complained about experiencing stuttering in Chromium browsers as well. I have seen both Polaris and RDNA users complain, but Polaris don't have access to the latest driver /cough EOL. Vega's time is also at an end. For those with older AMD GPUs, an AMD insider on Guru3d did say that these GPUs will still be supported, but only with stable drivers or something like that, so I guess WHQL-approved drivers.

Just give it a while. Word in the reddit threads is to use driver 23.9.1, but I can't tell, don't know.
