Hi all
My ADSL line/telephone went down on Monday around 09:00. I logged a fault with Telkom and they said they'd look into it.
By Tuesday, the story was that there was a problem with the DSLAM in my area, Sea Point.
This morning they don't know what the problem is and they will try to get a technician out.
Now I don't know enough about DSLAMs and stuff to work out what the real problem is, but surely if the DSLAM was down, then nobody in my immediate area also on ADSL would have a telephone line ?
As an internet addict, I'm not a happy camper that I've had no internet at home for 3 days. I also spent the weekend downloading and had to topup my cap by another 15GB that doesn't carry over.
Any suggestions as to my next step to get my line up and running, or do I sit and hope a techie comes to visit this week.
