CTWUG or HHWUG ???

Hi,

im looking to join a WUG in a month or 2, but im a bit confused. From what I understand there is 2 WUG's in my area, HHWUG and CTWUG. From what I understand these are not connected to each other, is there a way to check what the user base is of the networks etc? or anybody that can give me feedback, also what content/services is available on the networks.

I live in somerset west and added myself to the wind node database ( simplesimonza (#1392) )

Any info would be highly appreciated.

I have no idea a if anyone is on the HHWUG.

If you can pick up the Triton HS in Strand you should be able to join CTWUG.

Any other questions join IRC and ask there:irc.ctwug.za.net

Count the green, yellow and blue nodes on WIND, that will give you an idea of how many guys are connected

Thanks Elvis for the info. After visiting the hhwug website I got the feeling that things were a bit dead. I wonder if I can make contact with a felow wugger in the area to c what is available etc.. make some new friends..

Hi

HHWUG is more like a daughter-WUG of CTWUG. It will be connected to Triton soon.

We started it so that we can allocated funds for this area, since CTWUG funds mostly go into places closer to Cape Town and not allocated to us this far out.

Our temporary strand HS is coming online this week with hardware that we bought & paid for by ourselves. (RB433 + 2x 17DBI Sectors + 1 Grid (triton))

Then we also have space on Helderberg, but need donations for the hardware since I'm not spending any more money from my own pocket without other people contributing.

HHWug is now connected to CTWUG via triton, but working on another backbone link via the mountain.
