Anyone have any experience with these? Seem to come from the same importers/distributors as Blackview, Ulefone, Tecno.

Or better to stick to the likes of Xiaomi?

I have had a few of these and to be honest they have out lived any other phones i have had.
i have had the following, cubot power, X30, p20, R9 and currently using the KingKong 5 pro.
i have no complaints.

rootable? and removable batteries any of them?

as I was seriously tempted on takealot for one of them, (kingkong)
but decided to get a oneplus, that then promptly died less a year.

like most of the phones I have ever brought through takealot,
died after a year, innjoo comes readily to mind.

unfortunately only the R9 had a removable battery, The p20 Battery only started giving me issues after a few years, i purchased a new battery from alliexpress and had it changed here. The Cubot power is about 4 years old now and battery lasts about 2 days. other two are relatively new so cant give to much information but I'm really happy with them.

Hmmmm, less positive is the warranty terms on the Cubot ZA site. 7 days or am I missing something?

Is this 2006? I mean I don't think rootable or removable batteries has been a thing for quite sometime. I mean why do you need to root your phone?

install adaway for one, and removable batteries because those are the BEST phones to get, last forever, just get a new battery not a new phone
still pining over something like this wish they imported it locally here in SA, ultimate phone for me,
Shame they dont ship/support them in SA, real good market for them here.

If you can get a battery for said device. Also you can get batteries replaced on the non-removables as well, sure you need to go to a cellshop or risk it yourself.
