The Telkom rates are cuckoo.
Actually they expose the lie that International bandwidth is expensive.
First one:
During prime hours it will cost you R1.89 per minute to call from you Telkom line a SA cellphone user.
But will cost you only R1.70 per minute to make the same call to a cellphone user in the USA.
Second one:
A call to Botswana will cost you R1.66 per minute (no undersea cable) and to the UK, USA and Australia R1.70 per minute (peak hours)
These two examples begs to be explained when Telkom claims that bandwidth in SA has to be expensive due to the high cost of the undersea cable!
