Cullinary classes in East Rand

Hi all. My GF has developed a sudden urge to start doing cooking or cullinary classes in the evening, but a brief search online only gets us either professional grade cullinary schools (that charge 5 figures for professional qualifications) or the type of place that is aimed more at socialising than actually cooking.

We're in the East Rand - does anyone know of a place that offers something inbetween these two extremes? ie: Actually teaches cooking (like one evening a week) but not with the aim of going into the industry or obtaining professional qualifications?

Any assistance would be appreciated, this is driving her (and by extension me) nuts.

If you can send me an email I will send you information as I am looking at doing a social/cooking evenings later on in the year. I havent set prices or anything but can send it to you when I have done it? My email is erikab@littlecooksclub.co.za
