I am very new to Access 2003 and would like some help please.

When you create a new field and make it Currency Data Type, you have the option to change the format also to Currency R3,456.79.

My problem is that my Format Currency shows R#,##0,00 and I don’t know how to change it.

I have already checked my “Regional” settings in Control Panel, and that seems to be ok.

I don't understand what you're trying to do. What exactly is it that you want that Access is not currently giving you?

I am creating a database file called cigar.

I am creating a Table called cigar1

FIELD NAME : NAME
INFORMATION (DATA TYPE): TEXT
FORMAT : 10 CHARACHTERS

FIELD NAME : SELLING PRICE
INFORMATION (DATA TYPE): CURRENCY
FORMAT : CURRENCY

When I want to Change the format of Currency to R3,4569.75 the format shows R#,##0,00 and I don’t know how to change the format.

Currently if I type R40.34 I get R#,##40.34 instead of R40.34

It looks like you are trying to use the format to enter a value. The format R#,##0,00 is correct - this is a rule for the displaying of the data contained in a field in your database; data is not held in the format!

Populate a couple of rows with data, the use the report wizard to generate a report.

maybe one of the Access books would be useful if you are going to make serious use of Access.
