Yup, same thing here, international is horrible at the moment

Pings fine atm, as normal for weekends. Had a bad moment few hours ago where ping would sit around 4000ms.

It seems that like many of you I have lost my patience. It was bad enough that they shaped p2p, but the fact that regular surfing only got worse after that instead of getting better really pisses me off.
Their whole reason for killing p2p was to improve regular surfing, at present surfing international sites is about the same or worse as doing it through a 56k connection.
So now we have no p2p and crap surfing, hope Axcess 30GB account is better than this deal, because I'm going to sign up for a month starting tomorrow.

Seems to be back to normal...
if I find a decent (financial) offer who gives me at least 60 GB per month I will go as well....

I can just support you, I will as well leave UUNET at the end of this month. Since weeks its going on like this and UUNET sits back and relaxes. But nothing to improve has been done.
My pings and latency is nationally and internationally over 1000 ms every working day during work hours. Packet loss is 60 %. Surfing is nearly impossible. I reached this site only after reloading 5!!! times.
p2p shaping did nothing to improve the situation. So, that was just an easy excuse for UUNET to cut and save bandwith (money).
Selling 1000 units if you only have 250 might be a temporary way to make money, but only a short time....
I am been milked already from Telkom every month, but I am not prepared to be milked as well from UUNET.
Just check this...its a shame...thats how it looks like every day.
