Anyone ever come across "curry seeds"?

Saw this in a spice shop.

I suspect that this is not the seeds of the curry leaf tree, but rather curried seeds, i.e. seeds from another plant, with some spice added to it, e.g. chili powder or whatever.

Never heard of it. I'd guess its one of the gazzillion seeds that go into bryani mix.

Sounds like a mission though...whats wrong with normal curry?

Never heard of them. Probably just a mixture of coriander, cumin, fenugreek etc. Like a curry powder, just not ground...

Never heard of 'em either. What did they look like?

Not like mustard seeds.

Mustard seeds are rounder; these ones were flatter in appearance. They are white, with what looks like maybe chillil power mixed into make them a yellowish / reddish colour. There were also a few cumin seeds in the packet, as well as a few small round seeds (maybe black mustard seeds).

As I said - it's a curry-spice mix...
