Good day all. Been a while since I've posted anything.....so what better time than now?

So.....I bought a thermaltake eSports black gaming mouse last year. I plugged it in and all was grand. However....on startup the next day....the cursor won't move. Unplug it, then plug it in again and it works. Sometimes it will work from startup, as in once every twenty tries or so, but when it doesn't work, I unplug it and plug it back in again. And that always solves the problem.

I sent the mouse back to be repaired and they can't find anything wrong with it. Very very strange. I have tried it in all my USB ports and the same thing. Unplug everything else except the mouse....same thing. Very frustrating.

Any ideas what could be happening?

Did you load the drivers for the mouse or did you just let windows install it? Also, what windows are you running?

Guess what.... My Steelseries Ikari lazer would do just the same, after startup, the light on the mouse would be on (so it had power) but it wouldn't work at all (no buttons, no movement, lcd underneath was off)
However it would only happen every few days, and seemed completely random.
I think I got this to work better by re-installing the drivers, or only plugging the mouse in after I'd installed the drivers, can't remember exactly.

I have win7 32bit.ultimate. Works fine on other pc for some reason. Running the same version of windows.

It doesn't come with a driver cd. Nor is there any driver download options on their site. So it was a MS install.

Did your old mouse have drivers/software that you needed to load? Maybe it is a program @ startup causing this...?

Same problem with cm storm sentinel, I usually change my profile with the button on the mouse and it starts working... Even returned a mouse because of this...

Try looking for drivers on the Thermaltake website for the mouse. Also maybe updating your windows might fix it? I had this problem with my Razer Abyssus and updating Windows and downloading the software for the mouse from the Razer website fixed it.
