Does anyone have a Curve 9300 and how do you find it?

I see Cell C offers it for R199 per month including 100 anytime Minutes and BIS.

Ja got mine last week, seems pretty good so far, for my first blackberry...
Battery only last 2 days so be ready for that.
Otherwise a decent phone.

I think 2 days is pretty much the standard on most phones nowadays. Swirtch 3G mode off and keep it on GSM only. This will save lots of battery.

Long battery on modern cellphones i a pipe dream, friend got the Galaxy S and the box has 2 batteries, if thats not an indication of bad battery life then i dunno what is.

I got the Storm2 and my record now is 2 days. Most days when i really use it i'm lucky to make it from sunrise to sunset.

I can't decide if the price difference is worth it for the 9700 as it seems the only difference is a better screen.

The screen does make a big difference, as does the build quality as the materials used in the construction of the bold are of a higher grade than those used for the 9300. Also, the keyboard is not the same as the Bold. The only devices that has a similar keyboard to the Bold is the Torch. Curve has retained the keyboard from the original 8520 model.

It's great. A bit better than the 8520 if you feel the keyboard and the fact that there will one day (apparently soon) be OS6 for the 9300.

I listen to podcasts almost all day at work, leave it on EDGE and the battery hits the end of the day with about 70% remaining. I chat on it and check a little bit of email, so the battery might drop fast when you keep the GSM radio busy. The camera is really not great, but it works.

Thanks Guys seems Cell C doesn't have stock and don't know when they will get. So I did the financially smart thing and bought a R170 Samsung with a pre paid sim card.

@ hashbrown....what was difficult in setting up the mail? With gmail, u put in ure email address, password and bam...bobs ure uncle. With other mails u put in ure po3 settings and bam...yip, u guessed it....bobs ure uncle again! :-)

:eek::eek:

Kept giving me "username is blank" error message even though field wasn't blank

It started working mysteriously right after I posted a reply on this forum though... maybe an MTN problem:confused:

I have terrible internal battles with doing the right thing financially and doing what I want. If they had it in stock I probably would have taken it but since they didn't I decided to take the road less traveled. :-(

Is anyone having problems with the optical track pad?

It seems to work properly only when it feels like it.

sad.
