I would love to have my own Tucker Torpedo replica.
My dad on the other-hand has finally finished his small car project after more than 20 years. After going through many changes he finally finished his three-wheeled car last week. It consist of the front half of a 1957 Goggomobil T-250 Sedan and at the rear he mounted the rear-end of a 150cc scooter. Lots of work went into it, he had to fabricate many parts or make modifications.
The steering consists of the complete handlebar assembly of the scooter including working instrument panel, brakes, throttle, light switch, indicators and starter. (so there are no foot controls) He made new handbrake linkages and drum brake assembly so that it works with the rear wheel of the scooter. (so the handbrake is drum operated on the one side of the wheel, and the rear brake is disc operated on the other side of the wheel) The front brake lever on the handlebars operates the front brakes and the rear brake lever operates the rear brake. He also fabricated a custom steering column.
I will post up some pics as soon as he have it registered, which will hopefully be within the next week or so.
