I you had a choice of almost any electronic item bundled with a phone, would you take it? Almost like game but with a wider range of IT and electronic products.

Let say you wanted a good GPU but don't need a ipad/smart phone ect or something but bundel it with a GTX580.

My phone is new (3rd replacement was received last month, a month before my two year contract is up for renewal). Do not need a new phone, can't find a discounted contract without a 'free' phone / phone subsidy. Life sucks, so I guess I'll hold out for a Galaxy S2 ;)

I'm sure lots of people HERE would take it. Mass market though is another story.

I also looking for the same. Vodacom has a couple of no-phone deals available in the spreadsheet in the first post. MTN also has some available on Anytime X. I can't find any for Cell C though.

This is what i mean. If you normally use a talk 1000 package for instance, the normal person take that contract again because the type of package suit his needs but you always get a phone with it, whether you need it or not. If you can take something else with the package it would be more attractive for the buyer.

You can also request that the store give you the cheapest phone available and then fill up the deal with Vodacom Gift Cards (Master Card) which you can then use at any store to buy what you want.

Yes, but why MUST there be a phone with it? Why not ALL gift cards then? Why not just forget about the gift cards and just offer a discount on the monthly subs?

Just spoke with a guy from Cell C - they don't offer any UYO deals.

We do offer no phone deals with a montly discount on your subs. Go have a look in my Vodacom SP deal sticky.

The reason why we must offer a phone with gift cards is that when we process your upgrade to extend the line the system needs a IMEI number. Without a phone we are not able to create a custom deal for you with gift cards.
