I tried getting phone numbers etc but it seem an impossible task.

Pay the bribe money!

.... You don't tell us where you are, and where the package is being held?

at oliver tambo airport

did contact the post office and they say they cant help me, but they handle all packages

did call them and there had been nobody that can help me.

i'll try again tomorrow and email them as well

thanks

Ja I don't think you are going to get much help over the phone, everyone there is too lazy to actually look anything up on the computer.
You have to take a morning off and go there.

Just wait and wait and wait.
And eventually you'll get a notice to pay customs and then eventually they release it once you've paid.

1) Print your invoice. They will need it to calculate the import duty.
2) Go to the Johannesburg International Mail Centre behind O.R Tambo off Jones Rd.
3) Prepare to wait at least an hour. Any less is a bonus.
4) Take enough cash for VAT + import duty + R30 clearance fee.
5) Have some form of I.D just in case.

The other option is to fax your invoice to them, then they release your parcel to your local post office where you pay. Can't remember the number though. Sorry.

They are most likely looking for a invoice so they can charge you duties. Phone them and get a fax number or email address and then send it there.

Or if you give up go to the mail center.

Any recent/changed contact numbers for JIMC?
I have a parcel that arrived the 20 Jan at JIMC but no feedback after that.

I have tried (011) 961-6000 on various days many times without any luck.
No one answers the phone. I have tried just after 8:00 in the morning, during the day, etc. The phone just rings.....
