I initially posted this to Hellopeter, however people need to beware so here is a copy and paste extract of what I had to say.
Thanks
so my story begins when I was shopping around for another ISP, to replace the one I had at present. I was searching for something truly uncapped, and Cybersmart's smart business plan appealed to me. For R549 a month, this was what the 10mb smart business package included.
"Premium bandwidth for all services such as:
Business protocols (SSH, FTP, HTTPS)
Browsing
Emails
Gaming
VPN
Streaming
VOIP (Skype, Viber, etc)
SMART BECAUSE
P2P, automated downloads and news servers are restricted between 07:00AM and 12:30AM. The restriction is lifted and access is restored, outside of these times.
This allows for real time traffic to be prioritised during these times, providing improved performance."
Only when I signed in to check my account, it said this package had a 300gb cap, then throttling applies. That was never mentioned, so I cancelled immediately. Only to be told I have to give 30 days notice, so I will still be charged in excess of R600 for something I have no desire to use. Over my dead body. I have already phoned my bank, and asked them to block the debt order, this is really disgraceful, I expected better from a so called "leading " ISP.
Thanks
