Cybersmart DNS failure?

Hi all

Anyone else having a partial failure type situation to a lot of US based sites?
Looks like DNS lookups do not resolve:

$ dig +short google.com
$
Hmm that is different :unsure:

1.1.1.1/1.0.0.1 or 8.8.8.8/8.8.4.4 (guess your could watch some youtube)

Not really no.

I'm running a DNS resolver so 1.1.1.1/8.8.8.8 isn't going to make much difference but I did test ofc.

Latest update:
We are currently experiencing multiple failures on our national links which is affecting both local and international connectivity, we have failed over to our redundant links please expect delays. Technicians are working on the problem currently no ETR

Considering the time this happened, was this a case of possible copper theft gone bad?

Also if that cable is so important why does it look like it is running in someone's garden :ROFL:

Contractor's were working in the area and managed to hit the cable.... :unsure:

Regarding why it looks like it's in someone's garden, that's JHB for ya :ROFL::ROFL:
