CyberSmart light speed over Vumatel

I'm hoping someone can advise me on the Light speed packages.

I'm getting a new fibre line soon and am intrigued by this 400mbps* offer.

Has anyone signed up to the capped offering?

Assuming I can keep my usage somewhere between 100 and 200 GB during normal hours, that would mean I could get triple digit speeds for somewhere between R599 and R899?

Has anyone signed up for it?

How does the process work and how are the actual speeds?

I run their Lightspeed over their own network in my building - works like a charm.
Stupid fast, and I've built up about 3.4Tb nighttime data still to be used lol

Hey, I thought I was the only person on it. Welcome fellow unicorn.

I'm on the R899 uncapped 400Mbit option myself.

Stupid fast is how I would explain it as well. Configured for 350 down and 50 up, I get about 395 down and 55 up most days.

Yeah Ihave mine set the same lol -who needs upload speed anyway hahaha
For me to get the Uncapped, I need to Pay R4000 odd for "adjusting the product" or d"doing an install" or some other nonsense... lol

Skip a coffee and get 20/20.

Upload speed is good for:
- VOIP
- Preventing an upload bottleneck / affecting latency on something like concurrent gaming
- Cloud backups

Hah. Coffee at work is free ;)

I've actually put in an order for 4/1 from RocketNet.

Will likely upgrade once I see what the budget looks like, but for the moment I just need a pipe!

R599 for 400Mbps (100GB/500GB) - sure.

I'm quite likely to swear at the 4Mbps once my wife/son gets on the line at the same time and jack it to 20Mbps, but upgrades are simpler and quicker than downgrades.

By the time Vumatel finally installs the line I might just know how my budget looks for the next year.

Does anyone know if this is still the case? I see them offering 200/20 on Vumatel now so is it possible to get the 500Mbit deal as well?
