Cybersmart Nightrider Plus vs Mweb uncapped

Hi

Please can some forumites give me some feedback as to what they feel is the best package for me....


Two choices:

1. Mweb Uncapped (Shaped) 384kbps
2. Cybersmart Nightrider Plus Package 384kbps

My primary uses would be downloading (rapidshare) and p2p.

On mweb 384k with rapidshare and news.mweb.co.za and have pulled 43gb since the 2nd of the month, have not had any trouble surfing during anytime of the day.
Rapidshare sits around 15k during the day, speeds up to 41k from 10pm onwards till 8am, news.mweb.co.za is fast averages around 20k during the day and full speed after 11pm till 8am about.

I would look at you usage pattern, when do you do most of your downloading.

Cybersmart Nightrider Plus Package is only uncapped during night rider times, where mweb is uncapped all the time

During night rider time you will properly get full speed from mweb anyway as at those times the shaping rules are virtually non existant,

so it will come down to.. do you want your stuff now or will you wait for knight rider time. But downloading during the day on mweb is shaped where cybersmart is not, but you are subject to a cap.

Yes, cybersmart is not shaped .. period. I have the 4mbps line and run at full speed everyday and get 50x more download limit on weekends and 5x more every weekday from 1AM to 8AM So for example if I download 50MB of data on the weekend it will only deduct 1MB from my CAP and 10MB on weekday nights. But I think this package has been scrapped however.

what torrent download speeds are you getting on your 4mb unsahped CS account?

I have 4MB Nightrider basic, got it two nights ago, with torrents between 2am and 5am depending on seeds etc I was getting between 300 and 370KB/s. It is unshaped all the time so you will get close to line speed. I averaged about 4GB per night so far so sitting on 8GB right now[and that is free usage not counting towards my cap].
