Hello

I have a website with Cybersmart and had it upgraded to be PHP enabled today. I logged in via FTP and uploaded Drupal into the domain's directory but cannot for the life of me access the index.php. I have re-uploaded the old site and it doesn't display either.

Can anyone tell me where / how to run a php file in Cybersmart hosting or what directory things should reside? Do you have a .htaccess file for me?

It just gives me a blank directory listing every time - the file attributes are ok with everyone having read writes

They said I must call back in business hours :confused:

Hi sjackson,

They said I must call back in business hours

First off, I find that unacceptable for support.

If you are using a Linux based account with them, then you should upload the files into the directory /public_html (or /www).

You are welcome to PM me the domain name details so that I can help out.

Thanks - it was "magically" working the next day without an update to the ticket.

Compared to Hetzner Cybersmart hosting doesn't even compare. If you are providing business hosting, you gotta provide 24-7 support.

There are very few companies who can pay highly trained systems engineers to act as FLS 24/7. The support staff you get after-hours is going to be cheap-as-dirt FLS...they guys with a textbook of Q&A and a "we'll call you back later"-message programmed into his phone.

Cheap prices + capable 24/7 FLS are rarely found together.

sjackson, glad to see all is resolved. out of interest what OS is your hosting package located on?

Fair enough - I would at least make it until say 21:00 as people who get back from work may need assistance, but I get your point.

It could also be the lack of knowledge in the industry, as I find it pretty darn impossible to find techs who actually know how to troubleshoot accounts / have experience.
