Cybersmart/saol Slow...

Is it just me or is cybersmart slowing down by the day?

I have a saol.com account and its cybersmart bandwidth. saol.com is a direct reseller of cybersmart bandwidth...

I get 20kbs with 10 thread in my download manager. This is suppose to be a 4Mbit line.

Browsing international sites is SLOW!

Gmail took 20min to open and made a video to show everything.. Its a disgrace! :mad:

The only reason I'm staying with saol.com for now is cause my line is stuck with them and Ive heard its a mission to move it... :cry:
 
Someone contacted me just now regarding slow international access as well. Seems like their link to Londen is almost dead. And there are know network problems listed on their website.
 
I have dead link to London and overall slow international connectivity (Cybersmart).

im with saol and the latency is terrible so terrible
cant even play online its so bad
i hope they sort this out soon , its been bad for a while now even before seacom story
u guys having the same probs ?

Yes. Way before seacom was down this started. Seems like the usage on the cybersmart network is growing but cybersmart is not buying additional bandwidth. So cybersmart network is highly congested. Especially on weekends cause of the low weekender plan for 384 users for just R199

EXACTLY! I share the same thought as you. We should all complain to this damn ISP. I already sent my E-mail to them.
 
MMMmmm ... and I was considering Cybersmart as I need to apply for my DSL & bandwidth on Monday. Sounds like a repeat of 2yrs back where they ran out of bandwidth and never informed clients. Guess I'll have to wait and see what happens here then.
 
Cybermsart are upgrading their bandwidth, its unfortunately been delayed by 2 weeks already cause of the Seacom problem and the SAT3 maintenance the week before that. Be patient, will be sorted soon enough.....
