cybersmart sooo slow allways!

hey guys Im with cybersmart for like 7 months now. Lately they are sooooooo slow. International is so slow I can browse. I want to take a speed test but im not even able to load a page. Im so sick of it they allways have technical problem they are allways slow! Christ my ping of my unshapped cybersmart account is higher than a shapped telkom account !!!! Why the hell am I paying the exstra fee for unshapped when its this slow. I warn you guys DO NOT EVER take cybersmart as your ISP!!! They bull**** you and pin the blame on telkom! :sick::sick::sick::sick:
 
I dont think its cybersmart, rather Telkom in a whole that is slow.

A few hours ago my internet speed was still fine, doing 430kb/s on downloads and so. For the last 4 hours or so, I've been getting massive amounts of attacks, and very very slow internet speeds, on my pc, laptop, server, bro's pc, etc... all doing individual pppoe connections - so its deffinitely not the isp - is telkom.

doing a simple ping to smtp.saix.net gives me this:

Usually its 14ms !

some hacker community or someone within SA is hacking all their gateways, which overlods all the traffic or something. or maby a tracktor broke a fibre cable, and all routing is going through a 56k backup backbone. u never know...

Funny how all the ISP's fight like bitches to shift the blame! Telkom denies its them and cybersmart denies its them. Hmmm so it properly me that what they saying? Ohh BTW I did that and all of the ms are above 2000ms and you really dont want to know what my ping to Germany,France and USA is. Then we are talking about 5000ms I get a ping in COD4 to a USA server of 999ms that is max im sure its much more than that. I cant even join any local server. get a error. Server is for low ping players only. So WTF must i do. Complaining aint getting me far! *SIGH*

I had veeeeery slow speeds also with Cybersmart. I then emailed them & asked them to change my user name from [email protected] to [email protected] Problem fixed.
 
I thank God tonight I got 10kbs download from a UK server. But no games still! 999ms ping in all games even SAIX,Mweb,IS and Iburst

What area do you live in? - Ive been cybersmart for ages, havent had any real problems yet. I have noticed NOD & a few other background apps try to download updates in the background which increases the ping a bit...

Also, have you ever tried to login and then it errors stating incorrect username or pword? I then re-try a couple times (without changing anything) and then it logins :confused: ever happend to you?
 
Yes that too but that is the least of my problems. As for stuff downloading in the background. Nothing is my connection idle. No data transfered. Ive checked
 
Im sorry tonight I just about had enough of cybersmart . Im cancelling the debit order. They are not giving me any service all they reply to my emails is that they are aware of the oneprice realm that is extemlly slow due to high loads but they have upgrades inplace. Tonigh its soooo slow I can even listen to a 24kbs bitrate stream. I want to listen to A state of trance @ 24k bitrate but it keeps on buffering. Dammm I cant take this anymore!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
Has any one else had problems accessing international sites with cybersmart?
Since yesterday i have been unable to browse any international sites... :(

Hell yes! Since ive been with cybersmart Ive never ever see my ping below 130ms on SAIX,IS,Mweb game servers. And those are local. Thats not even mentioning the international latency! :mad: Ive been with cybersmart since August 2007
 
I think Cybersmart are sending their subscribers through a gateway of some sort for local and international so that they have some control of the traffic and block certain services. It certainly doesnt seem like a "pure" SAIX account. Today I got download speed of 5kbps on my Cybersmart account but exactly the same download on a friends SAIX account is at near the full capacity of the line. I have also had the same experience on latency with online games.

I suppose you get what you pay for.
 
lol yes and that is no or weak service. They said to me they are working on their own inferstructor. I dont think it their own back bone but its not near a SAIX or a IS account. They even have their own ip ranges. If I whois the ip ranges its registered to cybersmart. If it was a SAIX or IS account surely it should have pointed that way. Strange very strange! I get much faster download speed with my telkom account than my cybersmart account. Thank God im moving to nashua

Cybersmart & SAOL are the same company and have their own backbone.
It's going to be slow! :sick:

Nashua get their bandwidth from Verizon (Old UUNET).
It's going to be slow! :sick:

IS have their own backbone.
It's going to be faster than the above 2 but slower than Telkom/SAIX!

SAIX/Telkom are the only ones that can give you the best ADSL speed.
So go with a ISP that supplies SAIX bandwidth like Axxess & WebAfrica!
