I've been using Cybersmart for about two weeks now...I have to say don't know how they make money with the prices they charge but the performance is much better than my Previous IS account and more or less the same as my TelkomInternet account before that. Anyone else using cybersmart?

3 Gig CAP on 192/64 Kbs Circuit = R100.00
3 Gig CAP on 384/128 Kbs Circuit = R145.00
3 Gig CAP on 512/256 Kbs Circuit = R195.00
3 Gig CAP on 1024/256 Kbs Circuit = R219.00

* FREE 2048 MB MAILBOX @cybersmart.co.za
* You have an option of freezing these prices for 24 months
* NB All accounts are per calendar month or part thereof.

Id love to know how they could guarentee their prices for 24 months ?

Im using cybersmart and no complaints so far, im happy with it. Everything except email and http are shaped to **** during office hours, but thats saix's doing i guess...

R100 for 3gigs and 24hour resets... yes please!

I have an IS and SAIX account with openweb, and my SAIX account is very usable during the day. i think this cybersmart company does the shaping. i read their terms of service, and all i can say is.....not for me!!

Compared to my experiece with IS Cybersmart is much better and much cheaper. I don't use my line during the day so the shaping does not effect me at all. Best of all my total cost of DSL per month have now dropped below R500 a month. But I am not a power user by all means so I am sure this is not for everybody.

Sorry forgot about it last night.

I'm planning on getting adsl in the new year, and it will mainly be used for online gaming on the saix game servers. does anyone here have any experience using a cybersmart account for playing games online (specifically counter strike source on the saix servers) ??

btw whats their session timeout ? hopefully not too often.

I've used Cybersmart for a while now (6-8 months at least).
Session Timeouts are the usual - if I leave the router on 24/7 I can have the same IP for weeks.
At times, the speed is horrendous, and other times good - this is the norm, as my IS account is the same.
IS claim not to shape at all, but then again they do have some complicated routing policy - if traffic is high, diginet users etc get priority.

I play Wow mostly on weekends and some nights. The lag is more or less the same as what I was used to on SAIX and much better (obviously) compared to IS. Again if you do a cost benefit cybersmart and now thunda comes out tops for 192 dsl lines.
