Hmm, their website just makes mention of a "Cybersmart Branded" 4-port router.
Is it really important what brand it is? Why not mail or call them up and ask? Their support guys are kiff and clued up!

Yea. Covered my bases. I emailed them and sent this post at same time. But I have a bit of a problem with P2P going terribly slowly. 0-1kbps on 385KBs line... so think that I should try that Port forward thing, but it needs brand of router

That what puts me off. And what would the cost of monthly DSL help the situation for?I think a better reaction from you Anthropoid would have been to give your helpful hints out here in the open. Torrents are discussed on these forums (even if they suck -torrents that is) and it would have left a better taste in my mouth if you had helped the oke out in the open rather than wanting to remotely access Kris' account.
In the short time that I've been on these forums - there certainly are a few ppl I would trust to remote my acc (peeps I've met personally), but (and excuse me if I'm getting under your skin with all of ths) yourself being and "experienced" DSL user should rather not be rushing a "noob" into giving sensitve information out to strangers (even if you intent is honourable) - rather as I said earlier, simply place the solution out here. Why not?
Rather sow seeds of safe internet usage then have a guy running around posting and thinking its ok for the whole world to remote his acc - sure you might help him out good and solid - but the next nudging post he gets offering help?!?!

A: I had waited for him to reply to my PM, and he did not get to it quickly - so I told him that I am on my way out to a Birthday, and that if need be I can *quickly* finish up with what I had been helping him with.
A: I am busy ordering ADSL myself, and it will be the exact same package as he has got.
A(a) I am from the PCFORMAT South Africa forums, and "Torrents and the like" are not discussed openly - I did not know what the forum policy is, so why not avoid being flamed
A(b) Well... mmm he would have to post his IP in the open then..?
A(a) I am not I "experienced" DSL user, as I have stated I don't have DSL yet..Also I do support and maybe I am trying what I know best? helping out remotely, while chatting to the oke on Gtalk / MSN / Skype
