Cycling

Haven't seen a TTT in years. I like it way more than a normal individual one.
They do have a downside in terms of the GC. I mean a GC contender mighty have super climbing domestiques, and thus lose a lot of time in a TTT.

I suppose organisers mitigate that to some extent with making shorter TTT's.

Remember when ITT and TTT used to be 50km and more. The good old days.

Yup, but it's pretty much always a great show watching everyone in a team giving it their all, sacrificing a couple of weaker riders and then the team sprint for the line. One of the most exiting events in cycling imo. Would love for them to make it a regular thing again in all grand tours.

Watched a bit of the team pursuits and the mixed team races on the track in the world champs as well. Also fun to watch but not as good as a large team on the road.

Hehe always cool to see Impey. Be Lekker!

Totally missed the Vuelta stage 1 TTT today. Started way too damn late as if they're trying to turn this into a night race lol. Did see the results though.

I watched Greg Minnaar's downhill run live instead. Finished 2nd. He's the second guy in these highlights if you guys are interested:

Great result for him for a change. No crashes, no tyres coming off like in Scotland haha...

So who will win La Vuelta? This time it will be a Jumbo Jonas/Primoz tag team vs Remco. Will Jumbo end up destroying everyone yet again? Yes they will :p

The Spaniards are terrible at organizing things though. A TTT in the dark was the stupidest idea ever. And the Vuelta podiums are always so deurmekaar lol.

The Vuelta really annoys me. It's my least favourite of all the big tours.

And the commentary on SS this year is terrible. Hannah Walker, by herself. Super boring, super serious, never thought I would say I miss Anthony who's not commentating because he's the announcer at the race lol.

Jonas.

He will smoke the guys on Tourmalet. As soon as we go over 2000 meters he's the best in the world.

And Jumbo are going to do to Remco what they did to Pog at the Tour. Keep adding to his TSS so he's gassed after two weeks.

The vuelta is the best.

Nah for me it's le Tour >>> Giro > Vuelta
Today's stage is why the vuelta is so good.

I get the hype around the tour but this was so good.

The tour is so controlled. Racing like today was so free and attacking. The kind of race that makes you remember why you love racing and riding your bike.

I have to agree with LRCP. Stage 6 La Vuelta '23 the stage of the year. So far...
