Cycling

Can't wait for the start. My money's on Pogacar or Vingegaard to take the title. My preference is Pogacar.
It's a shame Evenepoel isn't riding, and same goes for Roglic.
I don't see roglic back at the tour ever again.

For remco they need to design a TT heavy route to attract him. All the mountains, and as good as he is, guys like vingegaard , pog and even ayuso will eat him.

Nice to see wanty marche taking two Africans to the tour. The only ones? Unless ef take Stefan?

My money was on Pogacar last year and even though he didn't win, I'll put my money on him again this year. Giving him another chance.

I'm surprised that Israel didn't pick Impey.
Froome's omission is no surprise. But sad to see him blame the equipment for his lack of performances.

Impey's not riding this year??

Screw Israel. Hope they all crash out!:crying:

Nah, the UCI says you can ride even with a positive, it's up to individual riders/teams to decide.
Not quite. The team doctor, event doctor and UCI Medical Director decides what happens. The decision is based on the result information, and also the regulations from the national health authorities in the country they're competing.

It all seems a bit airy fairy. I just remembered Lefevre saying they weren't to forced to withdraw Remco at the Giro, they just decided to for his health.

I found the UCI docs.

In the event of a COVID-19 case within a team (riders or team members), confirmed by a
COVID test, the decision to isolate and withdraw from the race will be taken in a collegial manner
by the team doctor concerned, the event doctor and the UCI medical director, based on clinical
elements available and the results of the COVID test. The conclusions of the medical expertise will
be transmitted to the UCI, the president of the commissaire panel and the organisers.

Yeah, case dependent and a bit open to interpretation I suppose.

Agreed Roglic realistcally has 1-2 years left competing and trying to win Grand Tours, unless Vingegaard has an injury next year we won't see Roglic at the Tour de France. Will be intresting to see how Bernal goes not sure what form he is in but the more competitors the better.

Yup.

And Bernal will be beaten by Carlos Rodriguez. If Ineos didn't send a team built around Rodriguez, they're in for a hiding.

Remember next year is the Olympics too so that's where Roglic's focus will be. He won gold in Tokyo so chances are he'll try to go for gold again rather than waste his time and energy going for yellow.
