Stupid motorcycles killed what would've been an epic summit. Great day's racing so far
Yeah wonder if they will be kicked from the tour..

Anyway, Vingegaard extends his lead slightly because of time bonuses again.

Gonna be a great final week. Another good day tomorrow I hope and then Tuesday the time trial..

The crowd deserved some blame as well. The bikes couldn't accelerate and if they were further away their photographs would have been useless.
The bikes shouldn't have been there at all at that point. One of the photographers involved admitted they should have gone away earlier and forget about their photos but no... had to get that last shot.

Big crowds will always be part of the Tours in the mountains, the motorbikes should know better.

Needing to multitask today with the golf and Wimbledon a bit later. DStv only allows the one feed so watching TdF on ITV. I've only been on for 5 minutes and the commentary is definitely light years better.

Wow they almost forgot to show Wout Poels winning the stage. Don't think I've ever seen so little of a stage winner.

Again a nice little showdown between Tadej and Jonas on the line lol. Gonna be a great final week! Who will crack first lol or will it be this tight till the end......

The time trial gonna be good at the end

Crowds and bikes seem a bit excessive this year. The bikes totally ruined Tadej's attack on Saturday and in yesterday's stage they wiped out the peloton and there was almost no room to even try anything in the mountains at certain points.

Anyway, this battle between Jonas and Tadej is intense. UAE has beefed up this year, Jumbo Visma hasn't been able to control things like they did last year. It was a bit of a shock to see Sepp Kuss get destroyed yesterday when he was the one taking chunks out of Tadej and the rest of the peloton last year in the mountain stages. As someone mentioned earlier in the thread, Adam Yates has been a great addition to UAE.

Kuss was involved in the crash yesterday. I think that would've affected him too

The crowds are just like every year. Last year the crowds were massive. Much bigger than this year. Big crowds in the mountains are nothing new.

Yesterday was just caused by an idiot behind the barriers trying to take a selfie. It happens.

As for the bikes, I agree with Pogacar, had they not been there I don't think the outcome would have been any different. Still it shouldn't have happened.

Think the time trial is tomorrow
It is. One for the climbers for sure. Designed for Jonas and Tadej I reckon but someone like Van Aert can win as well.

Will probably only watch the last few riders though. Next round for Jonas vs Tadej :)

I hope Tadej takes 10 seconds on Jonas, then we are in for a crazy week!

Think the time trial is tomorrow they end with a mountain stage
No they don't. They end on the pankake (not really, but mostly) Champs Elysee.

The only actual mountain stage of this year's race is on Wednesday. I think the organisers made it "soft" this year to keep Pogacar in the hunt this long.

I reckon @L-Dog is referring to tomorrow's time trial on the Alps that ends with a climb.

I'm a bit surprised that there will only be one time trial this year. But as much as I'd like Tadej to take it I think Jonas will win. Both time trial and the race.

The riders will climb the Côte de Domancy (2.7Km; 8.9%) that finishes with only 3.5 kilometers away from the finish, and continue on an uphill drag into Combloux where they will meet the finish line. The climb in reality is 6.3 kilometers at 6.6%

6km at 6.6% is not a mountain...
