CZ released from prison after 4 months

Binance founder Changpeng Zhao was released from a correctional facility in California on Friday after being held in federal custody for failures that allowed cybercriminals and terrorist groups to freely trade on the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange.

Zhao, 47, pleaded guilty in November for failing to implement an adequate money laundering programme at Binance, an exchange that began in Shanghai in 2017 and ballooned to process trillions of dollars worth of trades each year.

So in a way he did what ross ullbricht did ?

So as long as you just call what you do a ligitimate bussiness and do it in the open not on darknet

you get of a lot lighter punishment

He pleaded guilty why the light sentence. And the fact it was so light shows they themselves didn't see it as serious and with a low chance of conviction.

Ross is serving life though but not to worry as he will be out as soon as Trump becomes president again.
