I wanted to buy an AP to connect to a community network which has a DC server. I saw this router/AP available for R417 (price was incorrectly quoted but sold to me at cost nevertheless). This router/AP does not have a wireless search function and does not take a DHCP address. How would I connect it to the community network?
I won't mind to buy a real AP with an outdoors antenna, as a 2nd reason I bought this router was to use it as a wireless card (no need for drivers) as I run Linux and don't want to be bothered with looking for a card with adequate support.
