Telkom will know on Monday whether union members will go through with their planned strike action against the fixed-line operator's profit share scheme.
This is just Telkom employees wanting to milk Telkom's greed.

Solidarity and the Communication Workers Union on Thursday announced a campaign against Telkom that will include protest action, foreign support and political and public pressure.

Solidarity said it has already been in touch with an internet platform in London to launch its campaign for support from trade unions abroad. That is due to begin on Tuesday.

"We expect telecommunications and other trade unions in 40 countries to join in the campaign, said Bennie Blignaut, general secretary of the telecommunications arm of Solidarity.
This is indicative of the problem with SA telecoms. Telkom employees can afford to use communication mediums e.g. the internet to get as much support for their campaign of getting a bigger share of Telkom mega profits as they need but the same technique can't be used by consumers because most potential consumers can't afford the internet in South Africa.
