Im about to get an ADSL line intsalled to my house and Im looking out for a cheapish but decent ADSL modem. I had a look at the D-Link 300T but read some bad reviews....Is it really that bad? What other modem could I get for about the same price which will do a better job of lasting?

Get any member of the Billion 5102 family. Very robust and affordable. U can get them at computer corporations or online at jump.co.za or digitalplanet.co.za. Visit the billionsa.com site for some specs on the units.

All good

I've had the 300G (predecessor) for over a year and never had a problem. also installed the 300T at another site 6 months ago; no hassles.

dlink dsl-300t has no problems, cheap and I have been using that for long now. Never had any issues, It doesnt have many bells and whistles, it does basicly what you want.. CONNECT.

Thanks for all the help people. Telkom contacted me today about my ADSL line and it will take another 2 weeks or so, hopefully it will be working soon. Any ideas on which ISP to go for? I'm basically just looking for a 3GB account, which doesnt cut you off completely when you do exceed your cap limit. Thanks again for all the help so far.Appreciated!
