D-Link access point as repeater for Billion Router?

Hi

I have a Billion BiPAC 7300GX that serves as a 3G router and as a Wireless Access Point in my office.

I want to be able to connect to it from my house which is 20 meters away but the signal doesn't seem to be strong enough.

How can I setup my D-Link DWL 2100-AP wireless access point to act as a repeater to boost the signal in the house?

I've tried setting the D-Link in repeater mode but no luck.

Is there something I'm missing?

Using the DWL-2100AP to repeat to anything other than another D-Link,... bad.
It's very chipset sensitive. Nevertheless make sure the DWL-2100AP runs on firmware version 2.30eu (can download from dlink.co.za) and go to HOME and WIRELESS.
Choose repeater mode and scan for your Billion. Connect to it and type in the correct encryption and APPLY.
Should be enough.

Thanks for the advice. I downloaded and installed the f/w version 2.30eu which went ok.

But once I have set it all up, I still can't view the D-Link over the network, which I imagine I should be able to do right? Shouldn't I just be able to type in the IP address and view it over the wireless network?

The D-Link is setup with IP address 192.168.1.50
The Billion is setup with IP address 192.168.1.254
Both have subnet mask 255.255.255.0

Should the default gateway setting on the D-Link be that of the Billion (i.e. 192.168.1.254)

Any other tips? Could I try a different channel, or any other setting?
