I have a new Internet connection via DSL, using Telkom's service (as ISP), but cannot connect. After two days of chasing Telkom support, they tell me they can't help me - and the problem lies with the DSL-604+ router.

The ADSL light on the router is on, flashes every so often....

Using the D-Link "Multi PVC" settings, I can see I'm logged in - under PPP Information, it gives me an IP address, a gateway address, and it says "Connected".

But I can't actually access the Internet/browse/download etc. And Telkom says they can see I'm connected from their side.

I've copied a bunch of relevant-looking info below; what could the problem be?

Do you have a gateway and dns configured on your ethernet adapter ?
may not be being handed to the client from the router
