I recently purchased the above (LTE options still limited in my area) and using it with Cell C data, in an effort to cut the cord with Telkom. Its currently only connected to 2 devices (1 Ipad and 1 Iphone) i am fairly happy with the range and speed on the ipda, but on the ihpone it struggles to even open a web page whilst youtube just continues to load.
Any ideas of why this might be happening, and any quick fixes for someone that is technologically impaired? Or would it be best to talk it back to the store where it was purchased for them to assist?

Play with the wifi channel. 6 or 12 is usualy OK.
I've also had issues on apple devices if there are spaces in the SSID. I doubt this is the problem in your case but you can try to remove the spaces if there are any.
Lastly try to configure manual DNS. Below is the google ones which works well.
